Continuing Legal Education

“Obligate them in the laws and teachings, and make known to them the way they are to go and the practices they are to follow.” (Exodus 18:20)

The body of Jewish law is historically rooted in the written commandments of the Torah and the oral law or rabbinic commentaries of the Talmud. The traditional Jewish legal system is called by the Hebrew term, halakhah, “to walk” or “to go” and includes all aspects of human life, from birth and death, marriage and divorce to business and work.

Jewish Mind and Legal Mind

Our Continuing Legal Education program for both new and experienced attorneys integrates legal and Jewish concerns in unique and timely courses that fulfill requirements of the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board. Course sessions cover such topics as eldercare planning, patient’s rights, love and marriage, justice and ethics, individual freedom and terrorism, civil and criminal trial advocacy and family law in the context of both Jewish and American legal systems.
