A program for outstanding high school sophomores and juniors who seek to explore their Jewish identity, develop leadership skills, and expand their knowledge.

Do you want to go to Israel?
Do you have what it takes to be a leader?
Are you looking for the experience of a lifetime?

You could have the opportunity to

  • Travel to Israel for a unique three-week summer seminar
  • Participate in an exchange program with Israeli teens in Pittsburgh
  • Be recognized as a young Jewish community leader
  • Build relationships with other outstanding young people from across North America and Israel

20 Pittsburgh and 20 Israeli Fellows will engage, separately and cooperatively, with four themes:

  • Jewish Identity
    • exploring our commitment to Jewish values, tradition, memory, faith, culture, connection with Israel and a sense of shared destiny
  • Tikkun Olam
    • encouraging participants to act according to a sense of communal responsibility in Pittsburgh, Israel and globally
  • Leadership
    • developing the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively impact and inspire others
  • Community
    • instilling a deep connection between Pittsburgh Jewish teenagers, our counterparts in Israel and other Jewish communities around the world

The Pittsburgh Diller Teen Fellows is an exceptional program that unites teens from over a dozen cities in North America and Israel. The Program creates opportunities for Jewish 10th and 11th graders of diverse backgrounds to cultivate leadership skills, explore Israel-Diaspora relations and develop and implement community service projects. Program highlights include the spring Mifgash, when Israelis are hosted by their North American peers, and the Israel Summer Seminar, when North American fellows are hosted by their Israeli peers.
